Below is the link to the Yellowstone County Clerk of Court's website where Marriage License information is available: http://www.co.yellowstone.mt.gov/clerk_court/marriage.asp You will need to obtain your marriage license at the courthouse prior to your wedding ceremony. Please note that they require CASH when purchasing the license. In addition to bringing your license to the Wedding Officiant, a picture ID and two witnesses are necessary. The Officiant will return the marriage license to the Court House after it has been signed. You can get a marriage license in any county in Montana and be married in another county. Some counties have different requirements, so you may want to phone them first. Please know that when the ceremony is complete the Officiant must (under the law) return the marriage license to the Clerk of Courts for processing. It can not be given back to the bride and groom. Once processed, the license will be mailed back to you.
